Kevin Bruns, CFP, CFTA  |  Senior Vice President, Wealth Management


Kevin serves as Senior Vice President of Wealth Management and oversees the Trust and Investment Departments. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Economics from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and completed his Master's degree in Economics at Western Illinois University. Prior to joining Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, Kevin worked for regional banks in the Twin Cities area where he served as Vice President and Personal Trust Manager. With 20 years of experience in financial planning, investments and trust administration, Kevin has the knowledge and experience to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Deborah serves as Senior Vice President of the Trust Department. A graduate of Coe College, Deb earned her B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting. She is also a graduate of the ABA National Trust School and has passed the CPA examination. Before joining Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, Deb was an investment professional at a local brokerage firm and has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Rand Westlund, CFA, serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust. In his CIO capacity, he is responsible for overall asset allocation and equity investment research. Under his direction, the Trust Department manages institutional and personal portfolios using individual securities and mutual funds covering both the fixed income and equity markets. He is responsible for the investment portfolios of Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust and Quad City Bank & Trust.  Formerly, he served for five years as the CIO at USBANCORP Trust and Financial Services Company (UBAN), a $1.6 billion asset-under-administration trust entity in Johnstown, PA. Prior to joining UBAN, he was Vice President at Mark Bailey and Company, a private investment manager in Grand Rapids, MI. Rand graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN, with a degree in mathematics and minors in education and physics. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991.

As Investment Officer, Grant is responsible for managing client investment portfolios and securities research and analysis. He graduated with Honors from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in International Studies. Prior to joining CRBT in 2014, he was an investment consultant at Heartland Investment Associates. Grant currently is an ELL Tutor at the Catherine McAuley Center and serves on the Summit Schools Development Committee.
