CRBT Summer Intern

8 Questions with Breanna Walczyk, Credit Intern

What does a typical day as the credit intern look like?

I mostly help the relationship banking associates with their barcoding and imaging, help the associate relationship managers with imaging and other small tasks, shadow credit analysts from time to time, and work on the summer intern project.

What do you enjoy the most about your internship?

I really enjoy working with the other interns. Last summer, I was an intern at Quad City Bank & Trust and I never got the chance to interact with the other interns. Having that option this summer has made the experience even more enjoyable. I also enjoy the candy drawer that happens to be right by my desk!

Are you a dog or a cat person?

I am definitely a dog person. Big dogs are my favorite because I have always had Labradors and they keep you warm when you can't find a blanket.

What is your favorite memory from your internship so far?

My favorite memory from my internship so far was on my second day when the Credit Department had their party and invited me to attend. My team lost the trivia game, but we were awarded mini sombreros and fake mustaches.

Where is your hometown?

Bettendorf, IA.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would do a European tour where I could visit all the different countries.

What was/is your favorite school subject?

I've always enjoyed math-based classes because I understand it easily. But in college, I really enjoy my finance-related classes that deal with the stock market.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I honestly have never know what I wanted to be when I grew up (I still don't know). So in school, every time we did a "When I Grow Up" project, I always chose something different.
